The TUCANA has been awarded the prestigious 'BEST INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER' award for 2006 by HI FI News in the U.K.

The Leema Tucana is simply superb, a high performance high powered (150 watt) integrated amplifier. One of the few integrated amplifiers that is capable of driving almost any loudspeaker comfortably and with total musicality. It's character is one of an 'iron fist in a velvet glove', a powerful yet tactile and emotional presentation. Extremely easy to use, with remote control of course, the Tucana is set to be used as the corner stone of many high quality systems for genuine music lovers. Here you have an amplifier which can give you many years of musical satisfaction. The standard of fabrication and finish are second to none, it is a dual mono construction, as you can see from the inside photograph below.

Features include full remote control, 5 inputs plus tape monitor and a 'pre-out' facility for bi-amping using the Hydra power amplifier our for connecting to a subwoofer if desired. The Tucana is also able to control the Hydra power amplifier and Corvus center channel / subwoofer controller via the unique Leema LIPS (Leema Intelligent Protocol System).
