Overview and specifications

The AMP I V2 is a stereo power amplifier in which we realized our revolutionary amplifier technology for the first time. Unique tonal and technical properties are the results.

The AMP I V2 inspires with its neutral and honest way. It is fast and is characteri-zed by high resolution and rich details. Dynamic peaks are reproduced with the necessary power without only being loud. However, AMP I V2 plays relaxed and without strength and so ensures outstanding pure sound.
Technically, AMP I V2 sets standards regarding linearity, reflux damping and loudspeaker control. The shortest signal paths without electromechanical components, best power supply, and the special circuit board design make the AMP I V2 completely independent of the environment.

All in all, distortions are reduced to a measure which is barely detectable. Also, the damping factor is on the limit of what is possible.
A control unit ensures highest operation security, observes DC, HF temperature and overload, and switches off the AMP I V2 in case. The AMP I V2 can be equipped with symmetrical XLR inputs.
Lean back and let the AMP I V2 make the music.

Details

The AMP I V2 uses double-mono-structure for complete channel-separation. In order to optimize high-frequency properties consequent SMD-miniature-technology is used. Signal paths are reduced to a minimum length and contain no harmful elements like coupling capacitors, coils or relays.
The construction is optimized magnetically and capacitively. Influences of interfe-
rence and interaction between amplifier stages are extensively ruled out.

The input stages are double-difference-amplifiers with monolithic double-FETs. They are powered by a 80 VA toroid-core transformer with separate windings for each channel. Their gain-bandwidth-product is higher than 1 GHz. Double-bootstrapping decouples them from the power-stages.
Each power-stage consists of four power MOSFETs. Their bias current is 0,4 A and is controlled actively. They are supplied by two 700 VA toroid-core transformers and four fast and impulse-stable high current capacitors with a total of 164,000 uF. Distortions are compensated locally by a real-time correction stage. The voltages are smoothed by discrete and optimized MOSFET-regulators

The control-unit permanently observes DC, HF, temperature and overload and switches off the AMP I V2 on the mains side. Errors are indicated by flashing of the operation LED. The control unit is powered by an extra transformer. The AMP I V2 can also be equipped with symmetric XLR
